Seocurriculum.com is a blog set up to help people learn and utilise SEO techniques that are working on websites at the moment. In today’s world SEO is an ever evolving art, what works today will be obsolete tomorrow. However it is my belief that if you stick to the basic principles and keep abreast of new techniques you have a chance to achieve high search engine rankings.

A little bit about myself my name is Chris Longton I have been involved in website optimisation for some time now. I have created this blog to help people who are either beginning, interested in, and even experienced in Search Engine Optimisation. I am making a commitment to blog about techniques that the professionals search engine optimisers are using today to improve sites search engine rankings and traffic.

My main focus in this area is traffic, traffic, traffic and relevant traffic at that. I make no apologies for repeating myself. I’m still amazed by amount of times I see advertisements by so called SEO’s promising number 1 position in Google. I’ll let you into a secret NO ONE CAN PROMISE THAT!!!! Anyone can get number 1 position for a search term that no one is searching or competing for. However when you’ve got a search term that is competitive, i.e. with millions of competing sites going for the same position, then all you can do is get competitive and smart and follow the main principles. Oh and did I forget to say lots of hard work because contrary to common belief this is not black magic, however to be successful you will have to work at it. Hopefully that’s where this blog will help.

I intend give out tips on techniques that can be used optimise your site. I hope in turn this will help you to attain great rankings in the search engines for phrases that will send targeted visitors. As well as this I hope to point out some interesting stories and facts along the way.
